Eight pairs are hidden behind sixteen face-down files. Turn over two at a time. Matching pun names stay visible, mismatches turn back over, and the aim is to clear the daily board in as few moves as possible.
Use the opening as reconnaissance
The first flips cannot match anything you already know, so reveal new positions deliberately. Work in rows instead of jumping around; a consistent sweep builds a mental map and prevents you from reopening the same tile by accident.
Remember places, not pictures
Attach each pun to a position such as top-left or third tile in the second row. When a familiar tile returns, complete its pair immediately. Saying the pun name quietly as it appears can make it easier to recall on the next turn.
Accuracy beats speed
There is no time limit. Your result is measured in moves, so pause before every second flip and check your mental map. Everyone receives the same board on a given day, making move totals easy to compare at home or in a classroom.
