How to play Pun Forge
Pun Forge turns word-building into a workshop. Choose two fragments, load them in the correct order, and strike the forge to create the word that answers the clue.
Build from the clue
Read the clue first and predict the kind of finished word it describes. A definition about weather, food, animals, or work gives you a useful target before you touch the fragments. Then scan the available pieces for beginnings and endings that could form that target.
Order matters
The same two fragments can look promising in the wrong order. Read the combined word from left to right before striking. If it does not sound like a real word, reset the plates and reverse your approach rather than guessing at random.
Use sound as evidence
Some forged answers rely on how fragments sound together, not only how they look separately. Blend the final syllable of the first piece into the beginning of the second. The best answer will satisfy the clue and produce a clean, recognizable word.
